Brainstorming.
Usually I will start with a mind map to organise my ideas. I enjoy having streams of consciousness, but for an article, I need some restraint and structure too.
For my A-Level in Art & Design, which I achieved an A* and an end-of-year prize for, the course was split into two sections- coursework, and the exam. This image on the right shows a mind map of the theme I chose to explore for the exam, ‘Attached.’ I’m really interested in ways that we attach ourselves to distorted truths, so I decided to make my exam book an entire timeline of an unhealthy and abusive relationship.
